Harvest fresh loofah & learn to make soap! August 18, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. During this highly interactive workshop, students will be encouraged to explore their artistic abilities as well as embrace one another’s creativity through positive interaction while handcrafting their very own batch of melt & pour soap. Areas of focus include soapmaking safety, recipe formulation, crafting with fragrances, colorants and embeds, molding, curing, labeling, packaging and gift design. Upon completion of this workshop, students will walk away with a basic understanding of how to craft their own batch of melt & pour soap at home. Best of all, each student will leave this workshop with plenty of soap for personal use or gifts to loved ones. No experience necessary. Musica Latina includes the music of Miguel del Aguila, Manuel Ponce, Astor Piazzolla and Andres Martin. Andres Martin is a native Argentinian and a world-renowned composer and bass player. His arrangements and commissions for Camarada reflect the flavor and fervor of contemporary Tango as well as the pulse of Latin America.
