MAGEC (Museums & Arts Growing Escondido Culture), the Escondido Downtown Business Association, the City of Escondido, and Visit Escondido are working together to provide a full day of shopping with discounts, special offers and prizes. For every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stay in the local community. Seventeen-year-old Filipina American writer Frankie Robles dreams of escaping San Diego for somewhere less “vanilla." Over the course of 10 years, she begins to reexamine her relationship with her hometown through the eyes of her family, friends, and lovers. This play contains some mild language, LGTBQIA+ stories, and intergenerational conflict. Trigger warnings: Reference to domestic abuse, suicide.
