Join us as the Escondido Creek Conservancy celebrates 35 years of conservation through a continual hike series, Welcome to the Watershed, from ridge to reef on Saturday, April 4, where we will be joined by two Conservancy founders, Leonard Wittwer and Marta Blane, who will share where it all began. Their vision and dedication helped bring the Conservancy to life over 35 years ago, launching a lasting effort to protect the Escondido Creek watershed. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity! Monthly watershed hikes will continue west throughout the year, visiting each of our preserves along the way, from Sardina to Mountain Meadow, Bottle Peak to Frank’s Peak, and Keithley to LeoMar, and maybe others in between. During this important milestone year, a generous donor has committed to matching every donation we receive to support our land conservation and education up to $1 million! This crucial support helps to restore critical habitat, inspire the next generation, and protect North San Diego County's lands and waters for decades to come. We are thrilled to share our land restoration work during this hike series and invite you to RSVP at the Escondido Creek Conservancy's Eventbrite page, where we will be posting information about every hike in this series and more.
