(For more information, please visit their website at shelterslumberpawty.com ) Lionel’s Legacy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011 by Laura Oliver with a mission rooted in compassion for senior pets and the people who love them. Many senior pets are surrendered to shelters when their families can no longer afford mounting medical costs. In other cases, aging pet owners may face their own physical limitations, or families may struggle to manage age-related changes such as incontinence, mobility issues, or cognitive decline. Life transitions, like moving to a new home, can also make families worry that their beloved senior pet may not adjust well. While Lionel’s Legacy rescues senior dogs, our ultimate goal is to help cherished pets remain where they belong: safely and lovingly with their families whenever possible. For more information, please contact Gary Mitrovich. He can be reached at (619) 823-5108 or at garyemit@gmail.com. Lionel's Legacy on Facebook / Instagram
