  • Our premise is that after the events of "The Tempest," King Alonso dies suddenly. His son Ferdinand succeeds to the throne but soon falls under the malicious influence of Prospero’s brother, the unrepentant Antonio. He convinces Ferdinand they were deliberately stranded on the island by Prospero. Charges are brought against Prospero for piracy and false imprisonment. And the wedding of Miranda and Ferdinand is off. Characters from the play will be called as witnesses. At the end, the audience will serve as jury and decides the defendant’s fate.   • Learn the Art of Intarsia Woodworking! Sunday, August 9, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Join us in the woodshop for this 5-hour intarsia woodworking workshop! Intarsia is a woodworking technique that involves the use of varied shapes of wood to create an image or pattern. In this class, we will cover shop safety and how to use a scroll saw, as well as best practices for sanding and finishing. Students will choose from a template to transfer to their wood, creating a mosaic-like decorative wall piece. Template options will be provided, and may be altered and edited based on skill level. At the end of the workshop, each student will leave with their own intarsia project. Materials are provided. We recommend students bring their own eye protection, ear protection & apron, but we have some for borrow if needed. Aprons for sale here. No experience necessary. Ages 18+ welcome.   • The hit mobile game Clash of Clans announced it’s taking on San Diego this summer with an interactive challenge room experience: Clash of Clans - Clash for the Stache! The live experience at Seaport Headquarters invites fans to step into a real Clash village to team up for high-energy physical puzzle challenges as they help reclaim the Barbarian’s mustache from the Goblin King. The interactive experience will be open from July 15 through September 7, overlapping with San Diego Comic-Con on July 23-26. Clash for the Stache features puzzle-based challenges inspired by the game, themed food and merch, giveaways, and photo moments designed to bring the world of Clash of Clans to life. Tickets will be available for purchase through Fever beginning on July 1 at 10 a.m. PST. Tickets are priced between $7 and $15 based on the selected date and time. Discounts will be available for children, seniors, and military personnel. FULL SCHEDULE: Clash of Clans - Clash for the Stache will be open daily from Wednesday, July 15 through Monday, September 7. The Car Show is from 5 - 8 p.m. every Thursday, 6/4/26 - 8/27/26. You can arrive anytime you like. Independent bookstores around San Diego have teamed up to encourage readers to visit as many participating bookstores as possible in one weekend! You can visit one or all fifteen, but the more bookstores you visit, the more prizes you can earn. The San Diego Book Crawl is an opportunity for readers to explore the diversity of San Diego's indie bookstores, shop local, and most of all have fun while hopefully discovering a new favorite read along the way! Prizes: To participate, all you need to do is visit one of the participating bookstores anytime within those dates and make your first purchase of at least $10. From there, you will be given your Book Crawl Passport and first stamp in the passport! Once you have your Book Crawl Passport, simply visit the next bookstore (no particular order necessary) and make a purchase of $10 or more at each stop.
