The symphony will also perform Mahler's lovely and majestic Symphony No. 1 and a 2014 work by contemporary Venezuelan-American composer Reinaldo Moya. This piece, "Siempre lunes, siempre marzo (Always Monday, Always March)" was inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s "One Hundred Years of Solitude" — in the book, there's a room where time moves strangely, where it's always Monday, and it's always March.
