Acclaimed Swedish indie-pop band Peter Bjorn and John return to stages across Mexico and the United States in 2026 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, "Writer’s Block." Originally released in 2006, the album is widely regarded as one of the defining indie records of the mid-2000s, earning Pitchfork’s coveted “Best New Music” designation and praise from The Guardian, which called it “a delight, from start to finish.” The album’s signature single, “Young Folks,” featuring Victoria Bergsman, became an era-defining anthem and remains one of indie pop’s most recognizable songs. Thaler who will discuss the key insights found in his new book from Cornell University Press, "When Rebels Win". Drawing on evidence from Africa, Latin America, and Asia, Thaler shows how wartime ideology can shape statebuilding, public institutions, and postwar governance.
