Littles Preschool Craft & Cooking Summer Camp
Let your little one become a chef through nourishing food preparation! Choose from: Monday through Wednesday June 2 – 4 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Global Tastebuds & Craft Camp June 23 – 25 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Baking & Craft Boot Camp Ages 4-6 years welcome! Does your little one love to help in the kitchen and craft? Let us clean up the mess! This summer, open their world to exploring the bounty of local, farm to table ingredients and how those foods got from the ground to our plates with local culinary arts instructors from Sticky Fingers Cooking. Did you know that carrots can improve your eyesight, and cherries can help improve your memory? Young chefs will also learn about a rainbow of healthy, veggie-forward ingredients that are healthy for the body. We’ll explore through fun recipes how delicious they can taste, while practicing basic cooking skills and techniques! Read more below for specific week itineraries! When kids aren’t in the kitchen-classroom, they’ll be learning to craft using traditional materials with San Diego Craft Collective instructors with a variety of fun projects! Kids Wearable Art Summer Camp
Kids explore Fiber Craft & Wearable Art! Monday through Friday, June 23 – 27 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ages 7-12 years welcome! Wearable Art Summer Camp is all about exploring fiber arts and the wide world of wearable art! Does your child have an interest in fiber arts and learning macramé, embroidery and creating fun wearable art? Make original pieces of wearable art – lockets, pins, patches and more. This program fuses personal expression with design for daily use. Each week we’ll explore a new kind of wearable object, working with wire, fabric, shrinky dinks and fabric paint. Students will leave with a range of unique pieces and the fabrication skills to create or re-imagine their closet. In this fun week, kids will explore STEAM principles through: *Learning the science of upcycling through lots of traditional–and untraditional–mediums, *Exploring traditional techniques using needle & embroidery floss to create patterns, *Making original pieces of wearable art–lockets, pins, patches and more, *Taking a fun dive into the arts via lots of cool craft mediums, *And, applying conceptual math to macramé, the visual art of knots! This camp is recommended for kids ages 7-12 years. Kids Super Summer Craft Camp
Kids explore summer crafting! Choose from: June 16 – 20 -OR- July 14 –18, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ages 7-12 years welcome! Super Craft Summer Camp is all about exploring fun, hands-on craft in the studio! Kids will be guided through several craft mediums, taught by artist-educators who love handmaking and sharing their skills! Each week of Super Craft Camp is different, so sign up for one or both weeks to explore craft and supercharge your child’s summer with creative inspiration and fun skills to create lots of future projects at home. June 16 – 20 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Week will include: ceramics & glazing, painting & woodworking! July 14 –18 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Week will include: paper maché masks, ceramics, sewing & more! These camps are for kids ages 7-12 years. OPTIONAL | Lunch Hour Supervision If there is a camp ending as ours begins and you need your child transferred from another camp, let us know! If your child is signed up for morning and afternoon camps here at The Maac at Liberty Station (the building San Diego Craft Collective is located in–Dorothy Laub Music & Arts Center), we’re here to provide that space for your them. Apt4Music will be supervising kids for outdoor play and lunchtime from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. The purchase of the Camp Lunch Hour is for supervision only during this hour. Kids Fiber Arts Summer Camp
Kids explore fiber arts & repair a favorite stuffy or plush toy! Monday through Friday July 21 – 25 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ages 7-12 years welcome! This week of Fiber Arts Summer Camp is all about exploring and experimenting with fiber arts! Does your child have an interest in fiber arts and learning to dye, sew, macramé and mend their favorite worn-out dolls & stuffed animals? In this fun week, kids will explore STEAM principles through: *Learning the science of Indigo natural dye, *Exploring traditional techniques using needle & thread, *Mending their own favorite plushies by engineering creative (& often colorful solutions), *Taking a fun dive into the arts via lots of cool craft mediums, *And, applying conceptual math to macramé, the visual art of knots! Note: We recommend that you wash your stuffy ahead of time, allowing time for it to dry thoroughly. Use your best judgement on whether it should go in the washing machine or be gently hand washed. If your child doesn’t have a stuffy to repair, let us know as we have items to learn and practice on in the studio. This camp is for kids ages 7-12 years. San Diego Rescue Mission to increase homeless shelter beds in North, East Counties
There's a new effort to expand homeless service capacity in North and East County San Diego. A local foundation is offering $10,000 for each shelter bed created before July 2026.

Kids Design & Sculpture Summer Camp
Kids explore sculpture through fun craft mediums! Monday through Friday June 9 – 13 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ages 7-12 years welcome! This week of Summer Camp is all about sculpting with a variety of fun traditional materials & mediums! Kids will explore sculpture through planning, designing and creating: masks with paper maché, wooden sculptures, tiny pottery with ceramic wheel throwing, clay handbuilding and more! It’s a fun week of hands-on learning focusing on three-dimensional design with creativity and skill-building with a variety of instructor-artists at the Craft Collective Studio! Alzheimer’s–It’s one of the most serious health crises we face. At Sanford Burnham Prebys, our researchers are dedicated to uncovering the biological mechanisms of aging and how they contribute to the risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. By advancing our understanding of these complex processes, we aim to open new doors for prevention and treatment. To share these critical insights, we are hosting a special panel conversation on Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease for the San Diego community. This event will explore the latest research on the link between aging and Alzheimer’s, highlighting an ongoing research collaboration.
