With summer travel in full swing, Garibaldi at InterContinental San Diego is offering locals a way to transport their tastebuds across the Mediterranean. The restaurant has officially revamped its popular Sip & Savor series. Moving away from limited, one-off dinner events, Garibaldi is now dedicating an entire month to a single Mediterranean destination. Guests can experience a specially curated, chef-crafted entrée and handcrafted cocktail pairing on rotation all month long. Here is a look at what’s on the menu for this summer: July - Destination: Morocco (featuring Executive Chef Franck Tasic) The Dish: Moroccan Duck Tagine - Braised duck leg in a Ras el Hanout spiced jus, confit baby fennel, artichoke, green olives, preserved tangerines, and an almond-harissa chili crisp, served with couscous. The Sip: Moroccan Spiced Julep - Mahia fig spirit, "Moroccan Whiskey" (mint iced tea), cinnamon, clove & ginger spiced simple syrup, and fresh mint. The culinary journey continues through the fall, spotlighting Italy (September), Greece (October), and Spain (November), giving San Diegans a fresh reason to visit month after month.
