About Kara West Kara West is the Resource Librarian and a Senior Associate at Gensler San Diego, where she oversees the design library and serves on the firm’s core leadership team for Resource Directors. A champion of Gensler’s Product Sustainability (GPS) Standards, she leads firmwide training and oversees material vetting for flooring categories. Kara holds an M.A. in Library and Information Science from San José State University and a B.A. in Art History from UC Santa Cruz. Exposure Skate’s youth program, Skate Rising, provides free skateboarding lessons for girls ages 4-16 where professional and Olympic skaters volunteer as coaches—participants get to learn from some of the world's best! We will collect hygiene items (deodorant, body wash, SPF lotion, etc.) for donation to the Community Resource Center’s domestic violence emergency shelter.
