  • La Jolla Shores Beach and Tennis Club is hosting a Fourth of July drone show. Main viewing of the show will be from the south end of Kellogg Park, but can also be enjoyed from the surrounding park and beach areas near the La Jolla Shores Hotel and Beach Club. This year, the show will also be staged and visible from La Jolla Cove in the Village.
  • Intermediate Ceramics Wheel Throwing | Pottery 102 is for potters who have captured the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and small vases and would like to move into more complex forms. The Intermediate class is slow-paced and manageable to help students take that next step in their throwing journey. In this class we will cover lidded forms, throwing off the hump, and a larger variety of vase shapes. Projects will be ready to pick up 1-2 weeks after the last class. Must have experience and be comfortable throwing the basics on the wheel. Ages 14+ years.   • Through the lens of The Ecology Center, a 28-acre Regenerative Organic Certified Farm in San Juan Capistrano, we will explore the conversation on conventional, organic, and regenerative agriculture over the past 100 years. This presentation will provide us with an in-depth look at how one urban farm in South Orange County is modeling regenerative agriculture and how it fits into mitigating the climate crisis. The Ecology Center is an Orange County nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and educate people across Southern California communities in the areas of environmental sustainability and stewardship. By providing hands-on activities, quarterly exhibits, on-site demonstrations and informational seminars promoting practical and ecologically sound solutions for the household and community.   • Mission Valley, the open-air shopping center in San Diego, invites the community to “Valley Vibes,” a summer concert series featuring a lineup of some of the area’s most talented musicians. Performances that include solo, duo and trio groups will be held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at the shopping center now through September 2 in the AMC Theatres Court.
