The so-called No Kings protest in downtown San Diego gets underway at Waterfront Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, next to the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway. The march will head south along Harbor Drive past Ruocco Park and back north on Pacific Highway.

Kevin Alison serves as the Native Plant Manager for Catalina Island, where he leverages his expertise in conservation, restoration, and horticulture to prevent the extinction of native plants. Kevin specializes in advanced propagation techniques such as plant tissue culture to conserve rare, endangered, and challenging-to-grow plants of Catalina. Kevin grew up in Corona del Mar before graduating from the University of Hawaii and the University of California Irvine. Simply drive down to La Mesa Blvd. and park in one of the designated parking spots between 4th St. - Spring St. There is no registration or fee required. The Car Show is from 5 - 8 p.m. every Thursday, 6/4/26 - 8/27/26. You can arrive anytime you like. The Rhoades School’s Girl Rising Club – a middle school girls-led club that works to raise money to give girls across Guatemala, Bangladesh, and the Philippines access to education – is inviting the wider community to attend their cultural bazaar on April 24 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. located at 910 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. This event is FREE to the public (no ticket required) and will feature students’ handmade crafts, jewelry, food and baked goods, and a raffle with prizes from local businesses like Cinepolis and Aloha that are available to purchase to support girls’ education worldwide. Additionally, a panel of young student refugees from the International Rescue Committee will be sharing their stories of courage and perseverance after resettling and pursuing their education in San Diego. The San Diego Potters' Guild is a juried membership of forty skilled potters. Located in Balboa Park's historic Spanish Village at Studio 29, members make and sell their work directly to the public. Themed shows rotate throughout the year in the central gallery while other areas display member work often refreshed.
