  • BIG country music sensation, Little Big Town, with their four-part vocal harmonies and singalong-friendly hits — and multi-award nominees and winners — grace the Corona Grandstand Stage at the 2024 Toyota Summer Concert Series at the San Diego County Fair. Alabama-based Country vocal group, known best for their hits,“Pontoon,” “Boondocks,” “Day Drinking,” and “Girl Crush,” began their nearly 30-year career back when singers Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman sang together at Samford University.   • A big Fair welcome to 50s, 60s and 70s music legend, Smokey Robinson as he croons his way onto the Corona Grandstand Stage as part of the San Diego County Fair's Toyota Summer Concert Series. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and DOUBLE Hollywood Walk of Fame member, Robinson started his career as The Miracles front man and rose up through the music industry ranks to the Hall of Famer he is today. Multi-talented Smokey Robinson is an R&B and soul singer, songwriter, record producer and former Motown record executive who started his illustrious career dating back to the mid-50s. As the founder and frontman for the group The Miracles, becoming Smokey Robinson & The Miracles in 1965, Robinson was the chief songwriter and producer of their 22 albums and smash top ten hits such as, "You've Really Got a Hold on Me,” "Mickey's Monkey,” "I Second That Emotion,” "Baby Baby Don't Cry" and the group's only number-one hit during their Robinson years, "The Tears of a Clown.” In 1972 he focused his full attention to helping run Motown Records, retiring in 1988.   • GRAMMY-winning rapper and cornerstone of the Hip Hop movement, Ludacris joins fairgoers at The 2024 Toyota Summer Concert Series, Corona Grandstand Stage, at the San Diego County Fair. Spitting raps at the age of nine, and briefly working as a DJ in his youth — rapper, and now actor, Ludacris has released nine albums including the soundtrack for the animated Netflix series, KARMA’S WORLD. Ludacris created the series, named after one of his own daughters. With dozens of film and TV roles to his credit, Ludacris has been highly successful at joining his rapping and acting talents as well as commercially by as being featured in PUMA advertising campaigns and on country singer CarrieUnderwood's single "The Champion," which peaked at 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the opening song for Super Bowl LII, and the 2018 Winter Olympics.   • Texas-born regional Mexican singer, Pepe Aguilar, is credited with being one of the pioneers in bringing charro and mariachi culture to modern international audiences. As part of the Fair’s Domingueando en la Feria, which will feature Latin-themed entertainment, the concert at this year’s San Diego County Fair's Toyota Summer Concert Series will be performed in Spanish. Aguilar has sold over 13 million albums worldwide, which has earned him four GRAMMYS, five Latin Grammy Awards, nineteen Lo Nuestro Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Taking a page out of his own history, "La Dinastía Aguilar" (The Aguilar Dynasty), Pepe Aguilar started singing at a young age alongside his well known parents, singer/songwriter and actor, Antonio Aguilar and singer/actress of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Flor Silvestre. Headlining the first concert of the 2024 San Diego County Fair's Toyota Summer Concert Series is one of the most popular bands of the Pacific Islander reggae scene, Kolohe Kai. Their unique sound infuses Hawaiian ukulele, roots reggae, and hint of R & B and pop, elevating their already distinctive reggae sound to new and popular heights. The band's name: Kolohe means “rascal," which founding member, Roman De Peralta’s family called him as a child. Kai means "ocean" or “saltwater,” right in tune with the band’s love of surfing and the Hawaiian ocean waters. In 2019, Kolohe Kai won Island Music Awards Reggae Album of the Year with Summer to Winter, which also reached number one on Billboard's Reggae Album chart.
