Sung by the FUMCSD Masterwork Chorale, Chancel Choir, and Soloists, the 2026 Spring Choral Concert takes place in the FUMCSD Sanctuary in Mission Valley on Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. This concert will feature a special performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, a lesser-known mass setting written with an operatic flair.   • Join artist José Huge Sánchez Jiménez, featured in the "Matrix Multiplied: Hybrid Approaches to Printmaking" exhibition at OMA, for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of sculpture, community, and printmaking. In this session, José will guide you in creating your own handheld three-dimensional bee, inspired by the monumental bee featured in his exhibition piece. Learn about the interconnectedness of the hive as José shares the symbolism behind his work, and receive expert guidance on carving and adorning your bee. In the exhibition, José’s giant bee also functions as a printmaking tool; carved, inked, and used to create unique prints. You’ll explore these same techniques in miniature, gaining insight into how sculpture and printmaking can merge. All materials are provided.
