The walk itself is not mandatory if you're someone who struggles with chronic pain or disability. It's a mile and a half loop, you can go your own pace, and you can stop at any point.   • The Fair this week will feature a number of activities to help celebrate America250. Fair guests can watch military artist Joe Pisano continue creating Lady Liberty, a 20-foot-tall replica of the Statue of Liberty crafted from approximately 80,000 drywall screws. The large-scale work will come to life piece by piece throughout the event, offering visitors a rare opportunity to witness Pisano’s distinctive process up close. On Thursday, the Fair’s Home Arts & Hobby exhibit will host an American Heritage Quilt Block Contest. On Independence Day — Saturday — the Fair will feature a Fourth of July parade at 2 p.m. led by the Grand Marshal, Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat. Fairgoers can wave along as Marine Band San Diego, the Euphoria Brass Band, and other entertainers bring star-spangled fun to life. At 7 p.m., Brownies & Lemonade will bring EDM acts to the Chevrolet Paddock Stage.
