Special to the Art Alive 2024 Garden of Activities and as part of our celebration of the art of India, guided rangoli art making with guest instructors from DOTURMINDS (Dot Your Minds) will be a featured activity. Rangoli is an ancient Indian art form of multi-colored sand used to create floor decorations symbolizing wealth, joy, and prosperity, as well as thanksgiving to deities. DOTURMINDS (Dot Your Minds) instructors will guide participants through a hands-on activity creating tabletop rangoli art using printed patterns and bottles of colored sand to create personal rangoli art. Once completed, attendees will be asked to brush off the art and take the experience of creating the rangoli with you while learning the art of letting go. Free with Art Alive admission.
