San Diego’s social scene is getting its first floating day club — a lifestyle-driven experience that blends the energy of a beach club, the curated vibe of a waterfront rooftop, and the aesthetic of a music festival, all on the water. For Drop 001, launching Saturday, October 18, we’re teaming up with SoundCheck OC for a music-forward debut that sets the tone for the series ahead. Every detail is curated for the moments that matter most: music, views, bars and spaces made for connection, movement, and pure enjoyment before the sun goes down. Plan to arrive between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to score the best parking and be in place at the gate by 4 p.m. When our yacht is dockside and ready for boarding at 4:30 p.m., our DJ will already be setting the soundtrack — bass lines pulsing through the decks, tropical rhythms spilling out over the pier, and the first beats of the afternoon drawing you in. At 5 p.m., we’ll cruise off for 90 minutes of sunlit, open-air music with four DJs. From deep house to nu disco grooves and coastal tropical blends, the yacht becomes a moving coastal waterfront-themed beach club — and anyone who knows, knows the best experiences happen before the sun goes down.
