Zero Waste San Diego is hosting a SD Fixit Clinic in Chula Vista at Norman Parks Senior Center. Bring your broken, non-functioning things: electronics, appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, clothes, etc. for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. We’ll provide work-space, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and troubleshoot your item and it’s all free, though we welcome donations to keep the movement growing! During the event there will be three tracks: business, ecosystem, and community run simultaneously and converge in a closing plenary to produce something unprecedented: the first San Diego Responsible AI Pulse 2026. The goal of this forum is to foster a shared regional vision for AI through community collaboration. As an educational space, the insights generated here are intended for guidance as we co-create a more responsible and human-centered future. In honor of Día de los Muertos, we invite the community to take part in creating a shared altar, celebrating the lives of loved ones who have passed. Guests are welcome to contribute a photo to the altar: - Photos must be 4x6 or smaller - Photos only- no other items may be placed on the alter - We recommend bringing a copy rather than an original, as the altar will be respectfully removed at the end of the event.
