In this six-week course, students will explore the fundamentals of 3D design while working hands-on with clay. Students will learn how to transform a lump of clay into a variety of forms, learning pinch, coil, and slab building, and creating a final project that showcases their skills. Ceramics offers a multi-sensory learning experience that supports different learning styles and encourages problem-solving, fine motor development, and confidence through experimentation and revision. Learn to bundle dye with botanicals! Beginners welcome! Learn the art of botanical dyeing in this 3-hour immersive, aesthetically beautiful workshop. Learn and work with individual plants, flowers and natural materials to create one-of-a-kind colors and patterns on silk pieces. Learn about local plants that create beautiful colors and tap into the magic of the plants. Each student will dye two silk textiles to take home with them. No experience necessary.
