The San Diego Central Library is hosting a series of panels for teachers and librarians during Comic-Con weekend.

Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern is celebrating 15 years of serving the community with classic American fare, craft cocktails, and a welcoming waterfront atmosphere. On Saturday, April 19, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Jimmy’s at the Park in Point Loma. The celebration will feature an afternoon of live music, a special BBQ menu with Pulled Pork Sliders, Smoked Short Ribs, and Smoked Albacore, along with craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. Guests can take in beautiful marina views while enjoying great food and have fun with free mini golf on a 9-hole course with a live leaderboard, open to all ages. Join us at Cheval Winery for a beginning friendly Paint and Sip event set in the stunning surroundings this mountain view winery! Local artists will provide step-by-step guidance to help you create your own version of “Blooming Cactuses.” This venue is dog-friendly and wheel wheelchair accessible. This venue does not offer food but has visiting food vendors (make sure to contact the venue to see if there is a food truck visiting on the day of the event). Feel free to bring snacks, or make sure that you can get a bite to eat before our paint-and-sip event. Plenty of parking is available. This is a 21+ venue. Hours of operation are Friday 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. Don’t miss out on this delightful experience! We encourage artistic freedom!
