  • Exposure Skate's 14th annual women-focused skateboarding competition will take place November 1 & 2 at Encinitas Community "Poods" Park. 200 women and girls from all over the world will compete in Open/Pro, Advanced and Intermediate divisions across Bowl, Street and Vert events. For the first time in BCC history, participants 18 and older have the chance to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and riding lessons, courtesy of San Diego Harley-Davidson. This special year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps, celebrating a legacy of honor, courage, and commitment—right here at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. The Boot Camp Challenge is a 3-mile race held on Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego - one of only TWO locations in the entire country where Marine Corps boot camp takes place. For one day only, it's open to the public. Along the course, over 60 Marine Corps Drill Instructors will be encouraging and motivating runners. Runners will take on some of the same obstacles faced by the young men and women in their quest to become a U.S. Marine.
