  • Get ready for a paw-some night of strikes, spares, and gutter balls (hey, nobody’s perfect!) alongside heartwarming senior dog rescue fun! Whether you’re rolling as solo, as a dynamic duo, planning a fun double date, or just in it for the snacks, there’s something for everyone at Bark & Bowl 2025. Every entry helps support Lionel’s Legacy and the senior pups we adore! Each new senior sweetie entering the rescue receives medical care starting at around $1,000 and we have recently rescued over 30 dogs to help the shelters and pets displaced by the LA wildfires. Our goal for the Bark & Bowl is to raise $20,000 - every entry helps support Lionel’s Legacy and the senior pups we adore! So let's raise vital funds and have a great time doing it! What’s Rolling In: Awards Galore: We’re handing out team prizes including Highest Team Game Score, Lowest Team Game Score! Everyone will receive an official USBC (Uplifting Senior Barking Companions) paw-ticipation patch to showcase the difference you make in the lives of our canine furiends while having a ball (or rather, rolling one!) Fundraising Fun: Show your heart of gold by raising the most funds as a team through the Bark & Bowl campaign, and fetch an amazing prize! Not able to attend in person but want to pawticipate in the fun? You can still fundraise as a Lazy Bowler! Fun for All: Expect lots of laughs, great company, and plenty of pawsitivity as we roll strikes and spares for a great cause! Whether you’re a bowling pro or just in it for the love of dogs, everyone’s welcome! Interested in Sponsoring a Lane? Put your brand in the spotlight and show your love for senior pups by sponsoring a lane in honor of a Lionel's Legacy alum! Love may be blind (like some of our senior pups), but at Bark & Bowl 2025, we spare because we care! Don’t miss out on this tail-wagging good time—sign up today and let’s bowl our hearts out for our furry friends! Visit: https://givebutter.com/llbb25 Lionel's Legacy on Instagram and Facebook

  • The names of some 425,000 suspected Dutch collaborators went online 80 years after the Holocaust ended, making them accessible to historians and descendants as the country grapples with its past.
  • The city is seeking a developer who will "maximize the redevelopment potential of the site, while also paying fair market value for the property," a city statement read.
  • Over the past decade, artist Math Bass has developed a lexicon of symbols in the series Newz!—letters, bodily forms, architectural fragments, animals, bones—arranged in a variety of scores, each symbol an empty space of meaning, filled in by the context in which it finds itself. Repetition of these symbols, rather than codifying them into one solid signification, exposes the difference at the heart of each iteration; there is always a gap in meaning, something unnamable left out of and left over in the viewer’s reading—a jouissance. It is this gap in the symbolic where Lee Edelman states queerness lies—not as an easily categorized liberal identity but as a process of unmaking and undoing that leaves (gendered) subjectivity as we know it in question. That these symbols are familiar only heightens our unsettling; the negative space of these compositions, a major player in Bass’s practice, adds further to the gap.
