Dry weather is expected to move into Southern California Tuesday after a series of storms.

Schools are communicating directly with families and will provide assistance to any students who need it.

Stuyvesant's official last day was Sunday. Randa Coniglio will serve as acting president/CEO.

The city received several reports Friday of approximately 30 residents ill with gastrointestinal symptoms.

The strike began at 8 a.m. Monday, with picket lines at all campuses, including San Diego State and Cal State San Marcos.

During the morning and afternoon on Monday, the driving rains inundated streets, freeways and back roads across the region, in some cases necessitating rescues of people trapped in inundated vehicles.

The announcement comes after a judge struck down San Diego's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, saying only the state can make that a requirement.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
