Springtime is off to a wet and cold start in the San Diego area, with more rain and mountain snowfalls in store Tuesday.

A storm system is on tap for Tuesday and Wednesday. This storm is expected to bring periods of moderate to heavy rain and mountain snowfall beginning Tuesday.

That project is intended to provide a long-term solution for the 56-year-old OB Pier.

The San Diego City Attorney's Office sued automakers Hyundai and Kia on Friday for allegedly failing to equip their vehicles with sufficient anti-theft technology, which the city says contributed to a recent uptick in car thefts throughout San Diego.

Superior Court Judge Carlos Varela did not believe the circumstances of the case have changed and ordered Jacqueline Ma to remain in custody without bail.

However, these tools did not collect Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, financial account numbers or debit/credit card information.

The proposed law, SB 554, is titled “Safety Before Criminal Sanctuary,” and is a direct response to a policy passed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors last December.
