Mark Moran
Associate General ManagerMark Moran (Phoenix) began his radio career in Alaska, reporting on the environment, state and local government and a host of other issues, including the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez oil spill. From Alaska, Mark went to Iowa to cover politics, including the Iowa Caucuses. While there, he reported nationally and internationally on the floods of 1993 that devastated the Midwest. He also covered the birth of the McCaughey septuplets and produced a number of award-winning documentaries. Mark has reported for national and international news agencies, including the BBC, CBC and Voice of America. Mark recently won two 1st Place awards from the Arizona Associated Press in the categories of Best Use of Sound and Sports Reporting. Mark has also won the Edward R. Murrow Western Regional Award for his feature on steel-guitar legend Bud Isaacs.

The Justice Department said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was refusing to cooperate in a civil rights investigation into alleged discrimination and unconstitutional searches and seizures. Arpaio, known for his efforts against illegal immigrants, said a year ago that he would not cooperate with the inquiry.
