Transcript

For many KPBS listeners, public radio is a lot more than a casual car ride companion. We are happy to hear that for a lot of people, NPR is one of their main and most trusted sources of news and information.

And that means when there's a change at the top of NPR, listeners want to know more about who's running the show. Today we welcome the new man in charge - NPR CEO Gary Knell - and he's taking your questions.

KPBS Midday starts at noon. Call in then with your questions to 1-888-895-5727, or ask a question on Twitter mentioning @KPBSMidday.

I think it would be interesting to have some students run the show. After all, it IS a college, right? And some of the staff have been their way too long, like Gloria Penner. This organization reminds me of a bureaucracy. Wait! Isn't that what KPBS is?
