"When I look through the list of names coming to share their artistry with San Diego's wonderful audiences, I can't help but smile," said Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. "In musical theater, comedy, drama and dance, on the contemporary stage and the classical, these are quite simply the best we have."

The romantic dance production "In Your Arms" will kick off the season on Sept. 16. "Rain," an adaptation of a short story by Somerset Maugham, will open March 24 next year.

"The Last Match," which will take audiences into the minds of two players in the semifinals of the U.S. Open tennis tournament, is scheduled to premier Feb. 13, according to the Old Globe.

The West Coast premieres will be "The Metromaniacs," about young 18th century Parisians going mad for poetry — set to open Jan. 30, and "Camp David," about the 1978 Middle East peace negotiations — scheduled for May 13 of next year.

The holiday tradition of "Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will return for its 18th year beginning Nov. 7, according to the Old Globe.
