Hip Hop Duo VirgoTwins Performing at Corazon del Barrio

VirgoTwins — the Chicago-born/West Coast-based duo of MC Gilead7 (of Chicago hip-hop legends Tomorrow Kings) and San Diego-based underground producer Boricua Sandy (Roc Marciano, 2MEX). The duo is performing at Corazon del Barrio on Saturday, July 8 in support of their new album, "ArtSpace" (out now).

"ArtSpace" is a ten-song meditation reminiscent of underground hip-hop during the early 2000s (think Atmosphere’s "Overcast!" And Sonic Sum’s "The Sanity Index"). Sandy — known for her work in San Diego’s underground scene — produced the album’s lush and intelligent instrumentals while Gilead7 floats imaginative and sharp bars on top. The Chicago Sun Times reviewed the album, saying ""ArtSpace" is a stunner, as lavish conceptually as it is musically; the album rewards close — and repeated — listening.”
