What started at a birthday party in the Bronx in 1973, has sparked a musical revolution unleashing creativity that still echoes 5 decades later. This year's Halloween party, The Player's Ball, will celebrate the sound, the fashions, and the culture that has touched every corner of the world.
Join us at the Hill Street Country Club Saturday, October 28 from 8-11 pm. Emcees John Givez and Obed Padilla will take us through their favorite tracks of the last 50 years including those that have influenced their own work as musicians.
Costumes are encouraged! Come through dressed as your favorite hip-hop icons. Wear your own skin tone, any blackface will be turned away at the door.

The Hill Street Country Club
The Hill Street Country Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to shaping the growing arts and culture scene in Oceanside and the surrounding North Country region. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse atmosphere that reflects the socioeconomic landscape of our community. To complement the traditional gallery space, we organize pop-up art shops, cultural events and art workshops around our community. Local artists, business and residents all benefit from the interaction that The Hill Street Country Club facilitates.
