Julian honors African-American pioneers
The town of Julian is celebrating its Black History Month with an event honoring its African-American settlers. Host Tom Fudge speaks with an expert on Julian's history, and a man who discovered the grave markers for some of Julian's most prominent black pioneers.

- Ruth Lepper . A local freelance journalist who has written many articles about the history of Julian. Most of her work has appeared in the Julian Journal and the Ramona Home Journal.
- David Lewis . Historian for the Julian Cemetery Association and a fourth-generation Julian resident. He identified the grave markers of Albert Johnson, America Newton, and Susan Tull.
