The San Diego city council will NOT be changing as a result of Tuesday's election. KPBS Reporter Erik Anderson has details.
Four of the city council's eight members we're up for re-election and all four won easily. Donna Frye won a second four year term as the council's sixth district representative. She easily defeated Judy Riddle and Sandy Summers.
Ben Hueso won his first full term as the District 8 Councilmember. He easily beat two challengers that he defeated last year in the race to fill Ralph Inzuna's unfilled term. Inzunza was forced out of office as a result of the city hall corruption trial.
Tony Young - who replaced Scott Lewis after he died -- easily beat challenger Bruce Williams in the race for the 4th district seat. Kevin Falcouner was unopposed in the second district.
