A Forest Service official says more evacuations are under way after the Lake Tahoe wildfire jumped a fireline Tuesday night in a densely populated area.
The fire line was breached in the area around Tallac Village, near South Lake Tahoe.
What had been just a thin line of hazy white smoke has now turned dense and black as the fire flares up again.
