Gardeners Struggle with the Region's Extreme Drought

In this hour, we'll talk with gardening experts Tom Piergrossi and Nan Sterman about how to plant and plan under drought conditions.

Tom Fudge: This year and last, California has been going through a drought. Not only has rainfall been sparse around San Diego, but water from the Rockies and the Sierras has been in very limited supply. And just a couple of weeks ago, a judge's decision to protect a small fish in the Sacramento Delta put California water transfers in jeopardy. For homeowners in San Diego, this could mean a lot less water for landscaping your yard and garden.
