Law enforcement officials in Baja California are beginning to identify the four people round dead in Rosarito. KPBS Reporter Amy Isackson has details.
Law enforcement officials found the bodies in and around a Cadillac with California plates in a remote, brushy canyon in southern Rosarito.
Baja California investigators say two men were dead in the back seat. They found the body of a woman and a man within 80 feet. All four had gunshot wounds and the car had multiple bullet holes.
Investigators say the woman carried a California drivers license with the name Libby Gianna Craig. The address on the license is in La Mesa.
Investigators initially believed all of the dead were U.S. citizens but they now say three of the four were Mexican.
Two have previous drug convictions.The investigation is ongoing.
Rosarito has had its share of drug violence recently. U.S. tourists have not been targets.
