I'll admit, this post is totally random but I just have to tell you about. Last weekend, I drove out to the Encinitas Community Library to meet with artist Cheryl Sorg. An exhibition of her work, titled Text.Context is on view in the library's community room. I'll be writing about her work later this week, but today I want to tell you that the library is just beautiful. It was designed by architect Manuel Oncina and won an Orchid Award for excellence in 2007. & How lucky Enicinitas is to have such an amazing building to gather in, and they definitely use it. & From what I've been told, the parking lot is always full! & Here's a glimpse of the building (what you can't see from these pics is the panoramic ocean view on the other side).
