Producer and legendary radio and television host Dick Clark died today of a massive heart attack at age 82, according to his publicist.
Famed for his hosting duties on "American Bandstand'' and "New Years' Rockin' Eve,'' Clark suffered a stroke in 2004 that forced him largely into retirement, although he continued to make appearances on the New Year's Eve special alongside Ryan Seacrest.
Publicist Paul Shefrin said Clark suffered a "massive heart attack'' this morning after undergoing a medical procedure last night at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica.
He is survived by his wife, Kari Wigton, and has three children from previous marriages.
