Team Of Divers Helps Give USS Vinson A Facelift (Video)

USS Vinson Facelift

A team of divers is helping to give the USS Carl Vinson a facelift as it undergoes seven months of planned maintenance. Active-duty and reserve Sailors, and even a few civilians serve on the dive team as underwater mechanics.

As Home Post has previously reported, the Vinson is off-line for the next seven months as it undergoes scheduled maintenance, or what the Navy calls planned incremental availability (PIA). The maintenance is scheduled to last until February 1, 2013.
