Classes Canceled At Helix Charter High School Due To Water Main Break

Classes were canceled today at Helix Charter High School in La Mesa due to a water main break.

The break occurred sometime before 8 a.m., according to the school's website, which reported staff would return to the University Avenue campus on Wednesday for a pre-scheduled development day.

Students were expected to return on Thursday to take first quarter finals before second quarter classes start on Friday.

The break occurred on school property and its repair was being handled by school officials, according to a spokeswoman for the Helix Water District that serves the La Mesa area.
