Boston Marathon champion Meb Keflezighi is scheduled to run as a pacesetter in the Suja Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Half Marathon on June 1.
Keflezighi, who's from San Diego, won't be fully recovered from his Boston win on April 21 to race with the elite runners in the full marathon. He'll serve as a pacesetter for the group of runners hoping to break 90 minutes in the half marathon.
It will be his first race appearance since becoming the first American man in 31 years to win the Boston Marathon.
Keflezighi finished fourth in last year's Rock 'N' Roll Marathon after winning the half marathon the previous two years.
