San Diego Loyal SC ended a 300-minute scoreless streak on Carlos Alvarez's 66th-minute goal, but their winless streak was extended to four games with a 3-1 loss to Reno 1868 FC Saturday at Torero Stadium.
Alvarez put a right-footed shot inside the right post in the 65th minute for the first goal for SD Loyal (3-4-2) since Irvin Parra scored in the 65th minute of a 2-1 victory over Las Vegas Lights FC July 25.
The goal cut the deficit to 2-1 but Reno 1868 FC regain a two-goal lead on Aidan Apodaca's goal in the 85th minute. Foster Langsdorf scored in the 24th minute and Tuckeer Bone in the 85 as Reno 1868 (6-2-0) won for the fifth time in six games.
SD Loyal was outshot, 29-18, and trailed 10-7 in shots on goal.
