Set in the deceptively idyllic fictional English county of Midsomer, the suspenseful drama MIDSOMER MURDERS is based on the popular novels of Caroline Graham.
Featuring an eccentric cast of characters, ubiquitous red herrings, and quaint countryside scenery, this long-running crime series recalls classic public television British mysteries of the past.
At the heart of the show is the perceptive and meticulous criminal investigator Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby (John Nettles - BERGERAC; THE CHANNEL ISLANDS AT WAR).

"Shot At Dawn" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, Jan. 31 from 10-11:30 p.m. - A nine-decade rivalry between the Hammond and Hicks families turns violent after a dishonored soldier's name is added to the World War I memorial near Midsomer Parva.
When the Hicks patriarch is found dead, suspicion naturally falls on the Hammonds. As the investigation proceeds, however, it appears that the two families have much more in common than they believed.

"Left For Dead" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, Feb. 7 from 10-11:30 p.m. - Already divided over the construction of a new overpass, the village of Dunstan is further shaken when psychic Lynne Fox discovers a reclusive couple brutally murdered in their home.
Local boy DS Jones finds himself personally involved in the case when it turns out that his old schoolmates are keeping secrets about the death of one friend and the disappearance of another.
"Midsomer Life" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, Feb. 14 from 10-11:30 p.m. - Guy Sandys, owner and editor of Midsomer Life magazine, has made a name for himself by publishing unfavorable reviews of local businesses.
When his ex-wife's lover is found dead, the detectives are forced to dig into the editor's past, where they find a tangled web of affairs, criminal associations, and blackmail.
Things turn personal for Barnaby when Joyce gets involved, placing herself in great danger.

"The Magician's Nephew" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, Feb. 21 from 10-11:30 p.m. - Barnaby and Jones discover that Midsomer County is home to a secret pagan cult, after one of its more prominent members is murdered.
Suspicion initially falls on the author of a book, alleging that the sect's rituals are merely the product of drink and an overactive imagination.
But, soon it seems that all of the members of the Magic Circle have something to hide.
"Days Of Misrule" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, Feb. 28 from 10-11:30 p.m. - During the Christmas holidays Barnaby and Jones attend an exasperating team-building exercise, run by a young and overly ambitious acting chief superintendent.
They're released from their misery to respond to an explosion at a trucking company operated by one of the most hated men in Midsomer.
The detectives soon realize that the intended victim had many enemies among the townswomen, including his own grandmother.

"Talking To The Dead" Parts 1 & 2 repeat Thursday, March 7 from 10-11:30 p.m. - Two couples living on the edge of Barton Woods disappear, leaving the village abuzz with rumors of supernatural causes.
According to a local priest, the woods are haunted by the ghosts of monks slaughtered there in the 16th century.
As the body count rises, a local psychic offers his services much to Barnaby's chagrin.
