"Mammoth Dreams" follows the journey of a young man named Dave McCoy as he discovers the mountain wonderland of the Eastern Sierra Nevada in California. He rode in on his Harley Davidson and never left.
Through the years he shared his love of alpine skiing with his friends by building and running rope tows on small snowy slopes. The popularity of skiing grew in the area and he set his sights higher.
While working a day job and growing a family, he also got to work on a seemingly impossible task, building a ski resort on Mammoth Mountain. Through hardships and tragedies he did what everyone said couldn’t be done.
Dave McCoy passed away in 2020 at the age of 104, but his legacy lives on for the millions of people who continue to enjoy Dave’s Mountain. Mammoth Mountain.
