Last fiscal year, the United States spent more on immigration and port security than drug enforcement, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI combined. With the debate surrounding immigration reform right around the corner, take a look at a few gripping numbers.

The National Journal's The Next America dug through the Migration Policy Institute report "Immigration Enforcement in the United States: The Rise of a Formidable Machinery," to compile this powerful deportation snapshot:
