The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Monday for the 35th consecutive day and the 47th time in the past 48 days, decreasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.447, its lowest amount since March 20.
The average price has dropped 39.1 cents over the past 48 days, including seventh-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is 6.7 cents less than one week ago and 26.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 30.7 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 32.5 cents since the start of the year.
The average price dropped 12 consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent on Nov. 5, then resumed decreasing Nov. 6.
