Subprime Mortgage Woes Shake European Markets

Problems with U.S. subprime mortgages are reverberating worldwide. Traders are trying to decide whether recent cash injections by the Federal Reserve and other central banks are enough to ease worries about the economy. Without confidence that lending will be available months from now volatility could return.

Gillian Tett, markets editor for the Financial Times newspaper in London, discusses the issue with John Ydstie.
