Ford's Jaguar-Land Rover Division May Go to India

All of the major automakers announced end-of-year sales figures Thursday. Ford sales were down 12 percent in 2007, and GM sales were down 4 percent.

Toyota managed an increase of just over 3 percent for the year and replaces Ford as the nation's No. 2 automaker.

In order to shore up its balance sheet, Ford has been looking to sell its Jaguar-Land Rover division. On Thursday, the company announced that it is negotiating a sale to India's Tata Motors.
