Despite a slower rate of coronavirus cases in San Diego County, local hospitals are still continuing to prepare for a possible surge of COVID-19 patients.

Sharp Grossmont Hospital CEO Scott Evans said while they're not currently seeing the patient surge that was previously predicted, the hospital is gearing up for a possible influx of patients and keeping a close eye on the coronavirus outbreak in Tijuana.
