Mayor Kevin Faulconer said he'll be announcing policies and procedures on Tuesday to safely reopen businesses in San Diego.

San Diego beaches are now partially opened and the local economy may soon follow.

Mayor Kevin Faulconer told KPBS Midday Edition on Monday he plans to announce Tuesday the policies and procedures to safely reopen businesses since the global coronavirus pandemic forced their closure.

"If San Diegans can do the right thing, we are going to be ready to open once we hit the public health milestones and the stay at home order is lifted," he said.
