Obama Reacts to Violence in Libya

President Barack Obama spoke out today for the first time on the violence in Libya. USA Today reports that Obama condemned the Libyan government's actions against its own citizens, saying:

USA Today and a host of other media outlets were quick to point out that the president never actually mentioned Gadhafi by name in his speech. Obama did say that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is headed to Geneva, Switzerland to discuss the situation in Libya at a special session of the United Nation's Human Rights Council. In other "mad dog of the Middle East" news, CNN journalist Jonathan Mann wrote about his experience interviewing Gadhafi, saying he was "the strangest head of state I've ever met." This video of the interview is pretty darn kooky:
