Memorial Day is a solemn and powerful event at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The Pentagon Channel reports the Third Infantry Regiment helped prepare the cemetery for Memorial Day by making sure each and every one of the 220,000 gravesites at Arlington had an American flag placed upon it. You can watch video of the soldiers' hard work below.
Additionally, visitors to Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day will be given roses to place on the grave of their loved ones. The American and Ecuadorian Flower Growers donated 10,000 roses for this Memorial Day event, according to Arlington's website.
